Madhuri dixit Madhuri dixit Indian actress known for her work in the film Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Beta Saajan) and Beta Saajan is one of the most popular Indian actors. She started her career in the late 1980s, and rose to prominence with her performance in Tezaab, a film where she appeared with the veteran actor Anil Kapoor. She then acted alongside Aamir In Dil. In Mumbai where she grew up, she was in a household of middle-class parents. As a child, she began to learn about stage, she was able to take dance lessons. When she was young She began acting but faced difficulties as most of her film projects were not successful. She found fame and became one of India's leading movie actresses. Following her marriage she had an absence from work prior to returning to the entertainment industry. She recently was an integral part of Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received 15 nominations in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of them. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize for civilians India is bestowed to Dixit. The actress is known for her social works as well.
